Best Instagram Story Hacks in 2020

Instagram launched this feature in 2016 and since then it is updating it with a lot of features. Users can use these features to show their creative side along with creating a lot of engagement.

1. Spend Some Time while Editing

If you will give time on editing story it will help you in the long run. Editing your stories make them stand out from hundreds of thousands of stories already flooding Instagram.

There are six editing icons are available on the interface. Let's get through them one by one from left to right.

1. Save - This feature allows to save the story you are working on, whether it is a custom image or the story you were editing yourself.

2. Filter - The filter icon helps you with some of the best VR filters on the photo or video you are taking. It is helpful if you do not know much about the filters.

3. Linking - Linking feature allows you to link the something to your story which you are talking about. However, you need to have 10,000 followers to use this story. Though you can link your IGTV videos using this feature without having 10, 000 followers.

4. Accessories - This option allows to add some stickers or hashtags or location or music which you can use to get more engagement on your stories.

5. Drawing - As the name suggests it helps you to draw something on your stories. You can add handwritten texts with a couple of available brushes and erasers.

6.Text - Finally the last but not the least. It allows you to add some text in your stories. However, you can access this by tapping anywhere on the screen.

2. Turning Your Live Photos Into Boomerang

Has anyone known this feature before? Well, it is true that you can turn your live photos into a boomerang. Well, how does it work? For turning your live photos into the boomerang the required condition is that the photo should be taken within the last 24 hours.

For most of you, this would be the lesser-known side of the Instagram hacks.
Steps to be followed:
  1. Open the story interface, swipe up and select a live photo.
  2. Firmly tap on the screen for a few seconds until boomerang appeared on your screen.
  3. Well done, you have successfully turned your live photo into a boomerang.

3. Aligning Your Texts

Aligning your text is one of the best ways to make your stories look cool. However, there is some text( Neon, Modern, Strong), on Instagram which cannot be aligned according to your need. By default, they are aligned in the centre if you use them.

Well, do not worry here is the solution.

Just type the text with in the story with the font that has not the alignment option. Swipe your finger over the text from left or right or from right to left. It depends on whether you need a right or left-aligned text.

4. Add Glow to Your Emojis

I think this is the most simple Instagram story hack.

If you want to make your stories stand out then you can add a glow effect to them. This can be done very easily.

Go to the story's interface. Tap on the screen to get the text option. Select the neon font. And that's you are good to go now whenever you add an emoji in your story they will appear to glow slightly.

6. Creating a Standout Background

You feel like uploading a story but you do not want to add a photo in it. So do not worry you can make a solid background, that attracts the viewers.

First of all, add a photo to your story, it doesn't matter how the photo looks since you are going to hide it under the background.

Click on the pen icon and choose the marker or neon brush, now choose the colour. Press the screen firmly for a few seconds and that's it your solid background is created. If you want to show some parts of the image then you can do it by using the eraser tool.

7. Filter the Stories

It is as that the more people are being followed by you the more stories are being shown to your stories feed.  Well, to your curiosity you can mute these stories without the following anyone.

Here's what to do. Tap on the stories you longer want to see in your stories feed. A pop menu will appear just choose the mute option from these, and you are good to go.
